Stainless Steel 310S Sheets/ Plates are manufactured by the grade 310S. UNS S31008 is the low carbon version of the grade 310. This grade is the composition of the 25% chromium and 20% of the nickel, its make them highly resistant to oxidation and corrosion. UNS S31008 is the less prone to embrittlement and sensitization in the service. This high quantity of chromium makes it more useful in the sulfur atmosphere which contains H2S. It is widely used in the carburizing atmosphere.

Grade 310S is used in the applications of cryogenic, due to its toughness and low magnetic permeability. This grade cannot be hardened by heat treatment. They can be hardened in cold but rarely used.
